Lisa C. Lewis of Lewis Dressage LLC is an FEI dressage instructor and trainer based out of New Horizons Farm, Loxahatchee FL. Lisa teaches and trains out of her home base and travels for lessons and clinics. Lisa was an advanced level 3-day event rider who was short listed for the 1996 Olympics. She is an FEI dressage rider and trainer holding USDF gold, silver and bronze medals and has competed at the FEI Grand Prix level.

Lisa has over 25 years of teaching and training experience, and constantly works to improve her own riding and broaden her education. She has trained with Catherine Haddad, Robert Dover, JJ Tate, Todd Flettrich, Cheri Reiber, Christopher Hickey and Morten Thomsen of Denmark. Lisa specializes in dressage and also works with 3-day event riders and hunter riders to improve their overall performance. On the ground Lisa’s whole horse program of in-hand work and equine body work supports and improves performance under saddle.

Lisa’s ground and under saddle work correctly set the stage for a horse and rider’s successful progression through the levels. By incorporating ground/in hand work to her training she excels at solving behavioral issues as well as educating young and green horses. Her ground handling and under saddle techniques increase the performance of competition horses of all levels.

Lisa specializes in creating harmony between horses and their riders in a fun and positive environment. She instructs riders of all levels and all types of horses. She constantly monitors the rider’s position as well as the horse’s straightness and balance — resulting in happy and responsive horses and riders!
